吐司toast指使用小麥烘烤的麵包
是最常見的一種西式麵包
常見的食用方式有像是塗果醬、咖椰醬、花生醬...
或是搭配其他食材做成各種三明治
也可以沾蛋汁做成法國吐司
以前有位法國人想作出能將麵包變成金子的機器
當地的國王知道消息後給了他兩週的時間
如果做不出來就會被關進大牢裡
沒有辦法的他就在約定的最後一天
將做好的「麵包」夾入乳酪後獻給國王吃
國王不但覺得很好吃，還稱讚它比黃金更有價值
並把「麵包」命名為自己女兒的名字Toast
